The beacon of light in someone's darkness

Hello, I’m Linda Robinson, BACP Registered Counsellor, welcome to my website. I provide private one-to-one confidential counselling sessions where you can explore sensitive issues, thoughts and feelings both past and present in a safe empathic and non-judgmental space.

Whether you have had previous experience of counselling or are thinking about it for the first time an informal chat about what your hopes and desires are and what you can gain from having counselling with me is a good start.

The relationship between client and counsellor is an important one and often determines how successful the counselling will be so it is vital that you choose someone you feel comfortable with. I am deeply passionate about supporting my client’s needs and working towards achieving your potential.

I am experienced at working with clients who are troubled by anxiety and depression, relationships issues, trauma/childhood trauma particularly those who have self-medicated with drugs and alcohol. I have worked as a support worker for children with complex needs. And have personal experience of caring for a parent with Alzheimer’s Dementia.

I have worked with a wide range of diverse clients has enabled me to gain valuable experience and develop my practice. I have a down to earth approach with the aim of building an honest an open therapeutic relationship that is client centred. I work integratively and use a range of skills including Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution focussed Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to tailor my approach to suit your needs. What is central to my work is Empathy, Positive Regard, Warmth and Respect.
